JAKARTA: Five armed men beat up a man, identified as 37-year- old Tedy, and abandoned him under the Pasar Rebo toll bridge, East Jakarta, on Thursday night. They also stole Rp 7 million (US$813) in cash and his cellphone.

Tedy was found at midnight with stab wounds to his thigh and left ear by local residents, who quickly rushed him to UKI hospital and informed the family.

Another group of armed men stole a Toyota Kijang at Wibowo Abdullah's house in Pancoran, South Jakarta, early on Friday morning, at about 3:30 a.m.
