Man allegedly ODs on sex drugs

TANGERANG: A man was found dead in a hotel room on Jl. Dimyati, Tangerang mayoralty, on Tuesday, with initial indications that he overdosed on a sex-enhancing drug after allegedly performing the sex act with a sister.

The victim was identified as Gauw Cha Chan, 53, a resident of Serpong district in Tangerang.

The body was taken to a nearby hospital for further examination, but Gauw's wife Chu En Nyoh insisted upon taking the body home, before the hospital could perform a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death.

A worker at the hotel, Ujang, 46, told the police that the man checked in at around 11:30 a.m. with a woman identified as Melni, 40.

"Around 30 minutes later, Melni rushed out of the room for help. When we entered the room, the man was already dead," said Ujang.

Melni, who apparently is Gauw's sister-in-law, initially denied that she had sex with the victim. But when the police found certain bodily fluids on the bed that are generally caused by the sex act, she finally admitted that they had had sex and that Gauw was having trouble breathing.

"For the time being, we are going on the assumption that Gauw's death was caused by consuming sex enhancement pills and Melni will be taken in for further questioning," said Tangerang police detective deputy chief Insp. Kustanto. -- JP
