Man admits molesting infant

BEKASI, West Java (JP): A 25-year-old man admitted sexually molesting a three-year-old infant in the village of Srengseng Ilir, Sukatani, 75 kilometers east of here after he spied on a woman bathing in a river.

"I admit my wrongdoing. My libido was aroused when I saw a woman having a bath in the nearby river on Saturday," the man, identified as Lil, told reporters who visited him at a police detention center yesterday.

The father of five children said he could not contain his lust when he then saw the toddler, AL, playing in front of his house. "I carried her to my bedroom," he related.

Lil's house is 20 meters away from the river used by residents to bathe and wash clothes, and 10 meters behind the victim's house.

The victim's father, Yayat, said yesterday that he was teaching at the local elementary school and his wife was at home when his youngest daughter was molested by his neighbor. Judging from the young girl's condition, Yayat said that the man did not rape her. (kod)
