Maluku-East Timor to discuss border issue

AMBON, Maluku: Maluku Governor Karel Albert Rahalalu said on
Tuesday that the province would discuss border security issues
with neighboring country East Timor in the near future.

The discussion would touch on several aspects, including how
to prevent conflicts along the border of the two territories.

Evert Karmite, a Maluku councillor, hailed the governor's
initiative, saying that the discussion would be important to
ensure peace along the border. -- JP
