Malnourished students get help

BOGOR: The Rectorate of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) is planning to distribute 9,000 bags of wheat flour to its malnourished students in January.

The plan was revealed on Monday following a recent medical checkup of newly enrolled students, which found that 57 percent of them were malnourished.

Many of them came from remote areas throughout the country.

Besides, about 500 students could not afford the pre-dawn meal during the recent fasting month of Ramadhan. All of them live at the campus dormitory.--JP
