Major reshuffle at City Police

A number of senior city police officials, including heads of
police precincts in the city's five mayoralties, will be replaced
this month.

The official announcement has yet to be made but reliable
sources at the city police headquarters said yesterday that among
officials to be replaced are heads of the Tangerang, Depok, East,
South and Central Jakarta police precincts and the Tanjung Priok
Port Security Force (KP3).

South Jakarta police precinct head Lt. Col. Adang Rismanto
will soon be assigned as police chief in Semarang, Central Java,
while Central Jakarta police precinct head Lt. Col. Dadang
Garnida will be appointed as police chief in Palembang, South
Sumatera.

The two will be respectively replaced by Lt. Col. Sylvanus
Yulian Wenas, currently Commander of the City Police Mobile
Brigade, and Lt. Col. Lt. Col. Murawi Effendi, currently head of
the KP3.

No information as who will be appointed as precinct head at
Depok, Tangerang and East Jakarta police precincts has been
