Major reshuffle at City Hall
Governor Surjadi Soedirdja has said he is sticking by his decision to reshuffle the staffing at agencies under the city administration.
The policy requires that senior officials rotate to different posts every three to five years.
"The job rotation is in line with the regeneration process and is expected to encourage young staffers with potential to apply better management," Surjadi said on Tuesday at the inauguration ceremony of the city's eight new top officials.
The eight officials include Kusnan Ismukanto who replaced Tating Karnadinata as the Jakarta Office of the Ministry of Education and Culture and H. Mubarok who took over from H. Halimi as the new head of Jakarta Office of Religious Affairs.
Other newly installed officials are Emon Setia Sumantri, who replaced Roekanda Harya Permana as the chief of City Social Services Office; Gindo Sagi Sitorus, who took over from Emon Setia Sumantri as the new head of the City Social Development Bureau, and Nur'aini Thahar, who replaced Ramly Lubis as the new head of the City Equipment Bureau.
