Maid's murder reenacted

TANGERANG, West Java (JP): The Tangerang Police have
reconstructed the murder of a 23-year-old maid.

Ropingah, the victim, was allegedly tortured to death by
Managar Sinaga, 39, and his wife, Fransiska Viona, 28, on July
29.

Tuesday's reconstruction took place at the suspects' home in
the Binong Permai housing complex, Curug. Fransiska played the
role of aggressor and beat the victim's face because the victim
became sleepy while massaging her. "You've been indoors all day,
how could you get sleepy?" she asked.

In the reconstruction, Fransiska did nothing when Sinaga
punished the victim by stepping on her fingers and beating her
around the head.

The person playing the part of Ropingah was also made to stand
on one foot and raise one hand when she was allegedly caught
stealing by her employers.

In the last scene of the reconstruction, Fransiska
demonstrated disinterest when the victim was helplessly lying
facedown.

According to Chief Sgt. Sukro, Fransiska could face five years
imprisonment if found guilty of taking part in the torture which
led to the death of Ropingah.

It was the second reconstruction of the alleged murder. (26)
