Machinery expo opens

JAKARTA (JP): An exhibition featuring machines for carpentry,
forestry, furniture and pulp and paper industries began yesterday
at the Jakarta Kemayoran Fairground.

The five-day exhibition was opened by Director of Forestry
Cultivation Supervision Soegeng Widodo. It is being organized PT
Pamerindo Buana Abadi.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: The Eighth
Woodworking & Forestry Indonesia '96, The Third Pulp & Paper
Indonesia '96 and The First Furnitek Indonesia '96.

The exhibition, featuring about 270 participants from
Indonesia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Finland, Japan, Taiwan and
China, will close Nov. 16 (jsk)
