Maan leads golf tourney

JAKARTA (JP): Overnight leader Maan Naasim retained the lead in the Jakarta Golf Circuit tournament by two strokes yesterday after collecting a two-day total of 138 (68 70).

The Circuit, the annual event organized only for local golfers and now entering its second leg, saw 21 of 45 golfers in the field advance to the third round. They are eligible to vie for the Rp 25 million cash prizes at stake.

Maan, the country's current leading player from the Jagorawi course, yesterday closed the round with even par 70, two shots more than he collected on the first round on Tuesday. (rsl)
