Low price of rice

Thousands of demonstrators staged a huge rally around the
House complex on Jan. 17, 2001. But none of them protested the
low price of rice.

I am wondering why the people aren't asking the legislators to
establish a special committee to investigate the low price of
rice? Do they not know that our farmers are suffering because of
this? Or, are they happy that the price of rice is low? If so, is
it fair to "force" farmers to work hard to "feed" the Indonesian
people?

I strongly urge House members to establish a special committee
to investigate the fluctuating price of rice which is burdening
our farmers.
