Losing with Bank Mandiri

I have been banking with Bank Mandiri for 11 years, six years
in Denpasar (Exim) and five years in Jember, East Java. Recently
I have been changing 100 dollar bills (all C.B. series) and have
been receiving Rp 8,800 to Rp 8,900, some times Rp 9,100 to
Rp 9,300.

On July 15 I went to my branch at Alun-alun in Jember to
change US$300, knowing I should receive about Rp 8,800 to
Rp 8,900. The head teller mumbled Rp 8,900. He led me to another
teller who changed them. When I looked at the receipt it said
Rp 8,040.

I went back to the head teller and asked him why so low. He
replied that that was the rate of exchange when I changed them.
I checked with another Bank Mandiri branch who quoted Rp 8,820.
Well Bank Mandiri I don't believe that the dollar rate dropped to
Rp 8,040 at 12:46, on that day. I think I lost out on about Rp
260,000 due to this so-called professional head teller.
