Local Woodstock to be held Saturday

JAKARTA: With the ambition of becoming viewed as the
Indonesian version of Woodstock, organizer A Mild Live Production
will present on Saturday "Soundrenaline", a 25-hour, nonstop
music festival featuring 25 artists.

From 11 p.m. onward, 24 local artists and Europe's Spirit
Project group will take turns performing on two stages in the
eastern parking lot at the Senayan sports complex in Central
Jakarta.

"The Indonesian music scene has progressed so much that it's
time this country had a big-scale music festival," said Henny
Susanto from A Mild Live Production, adding that the event would
be held annually.

Beside music performances, the event will also give members of
the expected 50,000 audience the opportunity to interact with the
artists at tents especially set up.

About 2,000 security personnel will be deployed to secure the
