Local firm wins award

JAKARTA (JP): Kota Legenda built by PT Putra Alvita Pratama has won the best planning award in the 1995 Gold Nugget Award at a recent Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco

"Kota Legenda is designed as an integrated town, where protection of the environment is a priority," the company's president Mohamad S. Hidayat said yesterday.

Kota Legenda (or Legend Town) is located 30 kilometers from here.

A number of the company's executives, including chief commissioner Cosmas Batubara, a former state minister of public housing, left for San Francisco yesterday to receive the award. (bsr)
