Liquor, gambling raids hit Bogor

BOGOR (JP): Bogor Police ran mass raids over the past week,
confiscating 2,500 bottles of liquor, 52 video compact discs
(VCDs) and hundreds of togel gambling coupons.

A popular method of gambling, judi buntut, togel, or toto
gelap, is based on two, three or four numbers released every two
or three days by dozens of gambling operators.

Bogor Police deputy chief Maj. Weri Sudjatmiko said on Friday
that the raids were conducted in six separate locations in Anyer
Market and Central and North Bogor.

As for the VCDs, police raided rental outlets in Cimahpar and
Plaza Dua Jambu, which carry pornographic and pirated discs.

Meanwhile, Weri said two burglaries separately took place at
Jl. Yudistira 1 in the Indraprasta housing complex and another
also in the same complex at Jl. Bangbarung Raya No. 14 on
Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

Police managed to apprehend two of three alleged burglars in
their hiding place in Cicurug, Sukabumi, and are looking for six
armed gang members who burglarized the latter's house, Weri said.
