Liquor firm Delta to pay dividend
JAKARTA: Liquor company PT Delta Jakarta announced that it would distribute 14 percent of the company's 2002 net profit, about Rp 44.8 billion (US$5.3 million), as a dividend, amounting to Rp 400 per share.
The company said on Monday its 2002 sales plunged to Rp 505 billion from Rp 534 billion the previous year, due to the overall slow demand for liquor in the local market.
Delta is the producer of the local Anker Bir and the overseas Carlsberg and San Miguel beers.
The Jakarta administration owns a 26.3 percent stake in the company, 58.3 percent is owned by the Philippine-based San Miguel and 15.4 percent is held by the public. -- JP
