Lippo introduces new card
JAKARTA (JP): LippoBank yesterday introduced a new multi- function debit card called Lippo Star Card, which can be used to pay transactions and to withdraw savings.
"The card is designed to be within the reach of small-income customers since it only requires a minimum savings of Rp 100,000 (US$45.87)," LippoBank's president, Markus Permadi, said here yesterday.
With the multi-function system, Star Card holders can take cash from their savings at the LippoBank's booths anywhere in the country and overseas, he said.
To assure holders of the card's multi-functions, LippoBank yesterday signed cooperation agreements with various companies selling goods and services at the headquarters of the national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia.
The companies included Garuda, electronic manufacturer PT Amcol Citra Gallery, department store chain Matahari, fast food restaurant Pizza Hut, Hero Supermarket and publication group Gramedia.
Yesterday's signing ceremony was attended by the Lippo Group's chairman Mochtar Riyadi.(fhp)
