LIPI to hold workshop on ecohydrology

JAKARTA: The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) will hold a workshop on ecohydrology next week, which is aimed at integrating the maritime ecosystem developed by the government and the private sector.

LIPI said in a news release that the workshop, which will run from July 21 through July 26 in Cibinong, West Java, would feature Maclej Zalewski from the Center for Ecohydrological Studies, University of Lodz, Poland, and Richard Roberts from the UN GEMS Water Programme, National Water Resources Institute in Canada as main speakers.

Field training will also be held at Jatiluhur and Saguling dams, both in West Java.

Foreign participants are expected to come from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh and India. --JP
