Lightning kills farmer

SEMARANG: A farmer was killed and two others were injured when
lightning struck while they were working their fields in Srondol
village, Banyumas regency on Wednesday.

The fatality was identified as Suyatno, 42. The two people
wounded -- Bagong, 60, and Saan, 58 -- were rushed to a nearby
hospital.

"They were cultivating their fields when the lightning struck
them," local police officer Capt. Mulyono said. (har/edt)
