Licenses given to 667 companies
JAKARTA (JP): The city administration has certified that 677 companies in the capital are eligible to bid for construction projects being tendered this year.
Chairman of the City Certification Joint Committee (PBSP) Pungky Bambang Purwadi said, as quoted by Antara on Thursday, the companies were selected from a total of 1,859 firms applying for the license.
According to Pungky, who is also the chairman of Jakarta's Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the license was needed by a company to bid for any project financed through the city budget.
He said the company certification replaced the Partnership List Sign (TDR), which expired on Jan. 1.
Of the 677 companies which qualified, 361 are small-scale, 91 middle-scale, with the rest classified as first class.
Pungky expected all sides, especially the city institutions, to provide more opportunities for the small and middle-scale enterprises, as well as cooperatives, to join the bid.
He also suggested that the eligible companies conduct fair and dynamic competition. (04)
