Let the 'haves' help the 'have-nots'

From Suara Karya

The social gap is getting wider day by day -- the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

Beggars, vagrants and street children are a feature of life in Jakarta and other cities, where the number of luxury cars is increasing. Life's burdens at all levels are becoming heavier, especially in the villages. People's average daily income can't meet their needs due to soaring prices and the cost of living.

The government has taken some measures to overcome the crisis that so far they have not shown any significant results. The people's hopes for prosperity are still far from reality.

Considering the above, we need to promote social concern among us. The haves must help the poor people. Meanwhile, the have-nots should keep on trying to find ways to meet their daily needs. They should not resort to crime that would only cause greater suffering to other people.

Right now, so many people still live under difficult conditions, so why don't we help one another?
