Listen to the children!
Screaming with delight,
As they take flight on the wings of freedom.

Their tunes like bells they are peeling,
Rapid footsteps embracing,

Their feet tapping, dancing and whirling.
That is the dizziness of their way,
Enthralled by the life they are facing.
Tumbling through the moment,
No obstacles, no opponents,
As they take flight on the wings of freedom.

Let us listen to the children!
Let us really listen to the children!
Without wasting time chasing,
Some mythical desire we are embracing.

Let them come and let them sing,
Pull the rope and let it ring.
Let them ask and let them win,
May the sounds peel out to them.
Let them bound and deeply enthuse.
Let us keep them safe,
From those who abuse.
Let us run and let us play,
Living life to the full each and every day.
And we will all take flight on the wings of freedom.
