Leipzig Trade Fair

JAKARTA (JP): The first international trade fair for used
machinery and transfer of modernization and remanufacturing know-
how will be held on March 19-21 in Leipzig, Germany.

Ulrich Kromer, director of the Leipzig Trade Fair Corporation,
said yesterday ReTec'97, which is a major item among the Leipzig
Fair's many events this year, was expected to attract Indonesia's
young or beginning entrepreneurs.

Gabriele Krausse of the Corporation said ReTec'97 will be
attended by up to 250 European manufacturers, suppliers and
dealers while some 500 visitors from "special target" Asian
countries including China, Malaysia, Indonesia and the
Philippines, will be expected to visit and clinch some deals
there.

A second-hand machinery database will be available in Jakarta
at the time of the fair. (pwn)
