Legal umbrella

The annihilation of terrorism requires clear legislation or a legal umbrella so that law-enforcing agencies can perform their duties. In the absence of a legal umbrella, these agencies cannot perform to their maximum.

Facts show that law enforcers fail to arrest those suspected of committing crimes such as perpetrating terror, stealing and so forth for fear of being accused of violating human rights, as there is no material evidence proving the guilt of these people. Clearly, law enforcers cannot take preventive action and can act only after something has been done.

Therefore, a legal umbrella is necessary. The community need not worry about this legal umbrella. In this context, it is regrettable that the House of Representatives once stated it would wait for the government's initiative in this regard. In fact, the House and the government must work together to devise a law.

Once again, we, the public, support the issuance of a legal umbrella for the annihilation of terrorism.
