Lawyer assaulted in Ujungpandang

UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: Petrus Bala Pattyona, who is
representing a defendant in a class action here worth billions of
rupiah, was assaulted Saturday.

Petrus, of a Jakarta law firm, said he was just about to enter
a restaurant after court when a person hit him on the back of the
head with a fist-sized rock.

"I wasn't suspicious when the man approached me because I
thought he was a parking attendant,' he said.

The attacker fled after a police officer fired a warning shot.
