Land clearance at BSD postponed

TANGERANG (JP): The West Java High Court has ordered the
Tangerang District Court to postpone the clearance of a plot at
the Bumi Serpong Damai housing complex here whose ownership is
disputed.

The high court made the order in a letter signed by its deputy
chairman, H. Abdul Kadir Ruslan, dated Dec. 12.

The letter also clarified that the case was in limbo, pending
an appeal to the Supreme Court.

A similar order had already been made but it was disregarded
by the district court, which even sent officials to measure the
land in line with the claimant's estimates last Friday.

The disputed plot is claimed by both the housing complex and
Rusli Wahyudi, a resident of South Jakarta. (41/jun)
