KPU to hold presidential debates

JAKARTA: An official at the General Elections Commission (KPU)
said on Monday the five presidential candidates and their running
mates had committed to attend official debates on June 29 and
June 30.

Hamid Awaluddin also said four panelists had been selected to
question the candidates. The panelists include political and
security expert Ikrar Nusa Bakti and the rector of Diponegoro
University, Eko Budihardjo.

Each panelist will be allowed to ask one question to a
presidential candidate and his/her running mate, and then ask
another candidate to respond. -- JP
