KPK to appoint team of advisers

JAKARTA: A team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named eight candidates to become advisers to the commission, a KPK official said over the weekend.

KPK secretary-general Sugiri Syarif said KPK members would interview the candidates next week before making any decision.

The eight candidates are former Civil Servants Wealth Audit Commission members Abdullah Hehamanua and Karhi Nisjar Sardjudin, law professor Andi Hamzah, an assistant to the judges on Constitutional Court, Andi M. Asrun, professionals Asikun Wiraatmaja and Michael Elias Malat, and financial consultants Ngurah Arya PS and Suryohadi Djulianto.

Sugiri said that KPK would appoint a maximum of four advisers to the commission. -- JP
