KPK says 61 vie for advisory seats

JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said on Tuesday that 61 candidates have passed administrative selection to become members of the commission's advisory team.

The candidates were selected from 177 applicants who were required to submit essays.

Former member of the now defunct State Officials' Wealth Audit Agency (KPKPN), Abdullah Hehamahua, former House legislator Gde Artjana, and constitutional law professor Andi Hamzah, are among the candidates who will be interviewed about their ideas to eradicate corruption from the country.

The commission also called on the public to assist in screening candidates and to provide their input regarding the candidates' expertise and integrity. The list of candidates can be accessed at www.kpk.go.id, while public input can be sent to rekrutmenpenasehat@kpk.go.id., or faxed to 021-3522624 or 021- 3522553 no later than Jan. 6. -- JP
