KPK names two advisors

JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appointed two senior advisors on Friday, it says.

Secretary-General Sugiri Syarif said Abdullah Hehamahua, a former member of the State Officials Wealth Audit Commission (KPKPN) and Suryohadi Djulianto, a tax expert, were selected due to their integrity, morality and expertise.

The KPK had also selected former prosecutor-turned-academic Andi Hamzah and Asikin, a retired civil servant, as candidates for the advisory post. Sugiri would not comment on why the two candidates were not appointed on the same day.

He said the KPK would soon start the selection process to fill the two remaining seats on its advisory board. -- JP
