KPK investigates Jambi officials
JAMBI: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jambi is probing top officials in the provincial administration following corruption and collusion allegations from the public.
The investigated officials included individuals connected to the Wiltop Trade Center construction project as well as renovation projects in the Jambi governor's office and Jambi provincial council building. The projects, which were financed by the provincial budget, took part in 2004.
"The (officials) must stay in Jambi until the investigation is considered over," the provincial administration spokesman Harun, told The Jakarta Post on Monday.
The investigated officials included the head of the resettlement and infrastructure office, Afrizal Said, national land agency boss Sabri and provincial secretary's office official Akmal Thaib. -- JP
