KPK continues probe into Mulyana case

JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned four more people on Monday in connection with the an alleged attempted bribery case involving General Elections Commission (KPU) official Mulyana W. Kusumah.

The four were KPU treasury and remuneration division head Didi Karnadi, former secretary-general Safdar Yusacc, and two staff members, Sri Ampimi and Titus Totok.

The KPK also received a confidential letter from Mulyana on Monday, which was delivered by Mulyana's daughter, Gina Santiyana. Two similar letters were also given to the KPU and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"I don't know exactly, but perhaps my father wants to be temporarily released from detention so as to receive medical treatment," Gina said, denying any knowledge about the contents of the letters. --JP
