KPEI has new president

JAKARTA (JP): Shareholders of PT Kliring Penjaminan Effek Indonesia (KPEI) have elected Tubagus Muhamad Hasjim as the president of the securities clearing and settlement agency until 2003.

The company announced on Saturday that Tubagus replaced Rudjito, who resigned in July after being appointed the president of state Bank Rakyat Indonesia.

The shareholders also approved the appointment Eddy Sugito and Achmad Zaky Hamid as the company's new directors.

Tb. M. Hasjim was one of the directors at KPEI before resuming his new job while Eddy Sugito was a director of the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI). (02)
