Korean business mission
JAKARTA (JP): The World Trade Center will host a business meeting here today between a South Korean trade mission representing eight industrial equipment manufacturers and their Indonesian counterparts.
The center said in a statement on Saturday that the one-day meeting is aimed at increasing business between the two nations.
The statement said that South Korea has opened up 1,056 sectors to outsiders since 1993, liberalizing foreign investment there.
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, Indonesia's exports to South Korea increased by 13.17 percent to US$2.91 billion in 1995 from $2.58 billion in 1994, while imports from Korea rose 12.9 percent to $2.44 billion from $2.16 billion. (kod)
