Korean artists to display works

JAKARTA (JP): A group 15 artists from South Korea will display their paintings in a six day exhibition in the lobby of the Park Plaza Hotel on Jl. S. Parman in West Jakarta, beginning on Friday, the organizer said on Tuesday.

Organizer Im Young Yul said the exhibition of 61 paintings -- concerning the nature, culture and life of Korea -- is designed to further introduce the three aspects of South Korea to Indonesian people.

"The exhibition is also being held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of PT Pratama Abadi, a subcontractor of Nike, the world-renowned footwear producer," said Im, who is also the general manager of the firm.

"The works of these famous Korean artists are for display only. None of them will be offered for sale," he added.

Located on Jl. Serpong Raya in Tangerang, Pratama Abadi is one of four Nike subcontractors in Indonesia.

All its products are designed for overseas markets. (bsr)
