KL firm to build toll road

JAKARTA (JP): A consortium of Malaysian companies will build a
toll road in Riau province connecting Pekanbaru and Dumai, head
of Riau's Development Planning Board Anwar Rachman said on
Friday.

Anwar was quoted by Antara as saying that the provincial
administration and the Malaysian consortium had signed a
memorandum of understanding on the planned toll road project.

He did not say when the 165-kilometer toll project would
commence.

He said the Malaysian firm still had to complete its final
study on the project and clear land before construction started.
