KIS FM gets fit and healthy
JAKARTA (JP): KIS FM radio station is scheduled to launch a new program today called "Fit and Healthy", a weekly talk show about nutrition and its importance.
Mirawati S. Wibisono, a radio station representative, said yesterday the 15-minute program would be broadcast at 7:45 a.m, and would be hosted by University of Indonesia researcher and nutritionist Elvina Karyadi.
"The talk show will be aired every Tuesday at the same time and will offer natural and practical solutions to preventing and correcting deficiencies, and common health problems, experienced by Indonesians today," Mirawati said.
The program was expected to benefit everyone interested in leading a healthy lifestyle and eating well, she said.
Eating the right foods and, if your diet is poor, supplementing your diet with vitamins and minerals could prevent many common health complaints, she said.
"Fit and Healthy" would address these issues and give listeners the opportunity to share their personal health problems, she said.
The show will run for an initial three months, and will discuss natural ways to reduce weight, cope with stress, keep a normal blood cholesterol level and prevent heart disease.
Other shows will discuss coping with premenstrual syndrome and offer information about using antioxidants to fight free radicals. (hhr)
