Killers still at large in NTT

ATAMBUA, East Nusa Tenggara: The killers of two local traders, whose bodies were found near the West and East Timor border on Saturday, are still at large, local police said on Tuesday.

Belu police deputy chief Capt. M. Pattipeilohy told Antara that preliminary investigation suggested that Vincensius Meta, 30 and Astrius Mali, 23, were robbed and killed by a group of unidentified people when the two were on their way to a nearby black market to sell auto parts early on Saturday.

The news agency said that the incident took place only some 150 meters away from a security checkpoint.

It added that the bodies were found with multiple stab wounds. (byg)
