Keep presidential term short

Indonesia possesses great potential with its natural and human resources. Its beauty attracts tourists who want to come and see all it has to offer. This has led Indonesia to be dependent on tourism as one of its financial strengths. Nature gives people basic necessities in life, even for people from other countries who come to work with us. We are also an exporter of various products. Indonesia is indeed a rich country.

We compiled these achievements because we really have the capability. We have a good reputation about implementing development programs for the country. And now we are ready to get on with our main purpose, an equitable and wealthy Indonesia.

The community has to know the best people they need to lead the country. People who commit themselves to sacrifice in their struggle for development. These can be trusted to take legislative seats, and then the presidency.

Nevertheless, Indonesia has fallen apart politically and economically. The various bad indicators are the inflation rate, limited food availability, unemployment and "potential conflict". Under these circumstances, a five-year term is long enough to rely on someone to sit in the presidential seat; thus, an amendment to the 1945 Constitution seems to be necessary. In my opinion, the presidential term of office should reduced to only three years. After three years, the president should give his accountability to the House of Representatives.
