Karaoke hall robbed in Sanur

DENPASAR, Bali: Regulars of the Barcelona Bar and Karaoke Hall
may be singing the blues this weekend after burglars made off
with some Rp 50 million worth of sound system and video compact
disc equipment on Friday.

"We believe it was the work of more than one person, and that
they used a car or a van as their mode of transportation," Sanur
Police chief Adj. Comr. Made Setiawan said here on Friday.

The bar and karaoke hall, located in Sanur, was closed for
renovation at the time of the theft. The establishment does not
employ security guards.

Police believe the burglary probably took place at about 3
a.m., with the thieves breaking in through the front door. (zen)
