Kalla to open Bugis trade event

MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dato
Sri Mohd. Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak is scheduled to attend the
7th Bugis Makassar Entrepreneurs Conference here this weekend.

Event organizing committee chairman Halim Kalla said Najib would be
among the foreign guests of Bugis Makassar origin attending the
event from Friday through Sunday. Around 1,000 people have
registered to attend the conference, which will be opened by Vice
President Jusuf Kalla, who is a native Bugis.

Other prominent people at the event would be Minister of Trade
Mari E. Pangestu, Minister of Transportation Hatta Radjasa,
Minister of Justice and Human Rights Hamid Awaluddin and State
Minister of State Enterprise Sugiharto. -- Antara
