Kalimantan hospitals get Korean aid
BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The South Korean government has extended assistance worth Rp 275 billion (US$21.3 million) for the upgrading of general hospitals in South and East Kalimantan.
A representative of the South Korean government handed the assistance, which came in the form of a health support facility, to Minister of Health Farid Anfasa Moeloek here yesterday.
Moeloek expressed hope that the assistance would help improve health services in the two provinces.
"Some 18 hospitals in the two provinces will benefit from this aid, but the amount to be given to each of them will vary depending on their respective needs," he said as quoted by Antara.
