KafeFoto opened in Kemang

JAKARTA (JP): A new cafe in Kemang, South Jakarta, designed for photo enthusiasts was officially introduced on Friday to selected guests.

Called KafeFoto, the 54-seat cafe located next to the Cahya gallery photo at the first floor of Wisma Surya Kemang on Jl. Kemang Raya will be open from 11 a.m. to around midnight everyday beginning Saturday.

"But we might also open on certain days during breakfast hours," said photographer Deniek G. Sukarya, who runs the cafe.

The light meals offered by the cafe, such as pizza and chicken wings, is common in the posh area of Kemang, home to many cafes and restaurants.

But the unique design, featuring 10R-size photos displayed beneath the glass of each table and a touch of Bali interior along with several outdoor seats might offer something different to visitors.

All of the black-and-white and color photos, including those on the walls, are on sale at prices between Rp 700,000 and Rp 1.5 million each.

As a rule, 30 percent of the sale will go to Deniek as a commission. (bsr)
