Kabelvision's dis-service

Are there blizzards in Jakarta? Yes, judging by the amount of "snow" on our Kabelvision channels! I have been a loyal customer of Kabelvision ever since it began to offer its services in the Kayu Putih area, East Jakarta.

Recently, however (ever since the 2000 Olympics), our reception on all channels of Kabelvision have taken a gold medal dive and we can barely make out the balls in all the sports telecasts, American football or otherwise.

Our first call to Kabelvision's customer service during the Olympics yielded a visit after two days with an explanation that the bad reception was due to the channels being offered for free on a different wave band.

Since then, however, the awful reception on all our channels has been nothing short of infuriating, in spite of our paying full subscription fees for the regular cable channels.

Another call to Kabelvision's customer service last night was met with the unbelievable reply that the reception was crystal clear on their end, and a rather unhelpful diagnosis that it must be the fluctuating electricity supply to our house.

We were thus advised to use a stabilizer, which of course we already do. No offers to check out the problem, no apologies, no constructive steps to rectify the problem.

Would Kabelvision please do something to alleviate the problem or is it just going to leave its customers in the lurch? Can we have some real customer service, please?
