Kabelvision service poor

If anyone needs a compelling reason why monopolies should be abolished they need only to become Kabelvision subscribers in the Senopati area, where I have both my office and house.

Both subscribe to Kabelvision and its broadband service, or lack of it. My office suffers from constant interruptions to its broadband service. The signal often goes down to the extent that we have installed a dial up modem to the internet service provider. Constant complaints have yielded no significant improvements in service. The worst thing is that you cannot even get to speak directly to KabelNet, the division of Kabelvision that provides the broadband service. If you have any complaints you have to speak to the internet service provider instead.

I subscribed to the broadband service for my house more than three months ago and as a convenience arranged for all bills to be paid through my credit card automatically. After three months my service was cut off because Kabelvision failed to get their act together and debit my credit card account. When this was brought up to them it took them three days of broken promises before they could send a technician to my house and reconnect the service. That was a few days ago and they have since promised, but failed to reconnect the HBO channel to my service. All complaints to Kabelvision have been met with buck passing between the customer service, marketing and billing departments.

I would love to hear from Kabelvision where the buck stops in that labyrinthine and inefficient organization. A justification as to why their monopoly should not be dismantled would be great as well. ONG HOCK CHUAN Jakarta
