Juniors to join badminton circuit

SEMARANG (JP): National junior shuttlers training at the
Indonesian Badminton Center in Cipayung, East Jakarta, will
compete in the Sinar Mutiara national badminton circuit B zone in
Tegal, about 165 kilometers east of here, from Sept. 26 to Sept.
30.

"They will compete with shuttlers from the provincial chapters
of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) to decide who
will join the center in the promotion/relegation system," PBSI
Central Java chapter secretary-general Toegimin said on Saturday.

Junior shuttlers must compete in four national circuits -- the
Jakarta Open, SGS Open, the national badminton circuit and
Surabaya Open -- to be admitted in the center.

"Those who win in all four tournaments will automatically be
given places in the center," he said. (har)
