Junior c'ships in Yogyakarta

JAKARTA (JP): Six boys teams from nine provinces and nine
girls teams from five provinces have confirmed their
participation in the 17th Pontjo Sutowo Cup under-18 tennis team
championships from Aug. 14 to Aug. 20 in Yogyakarta.

A total of Rp 25 million (US$2,900) in prize money is being
offered at the annual championships, which have seen national
players like Yayuk Basuki, Romana Tedjakusuma, Suwandi, Andrian
Raturandang, Febi Widhiyanto, Hendri Susilo Pramono and Mimma
Chernovita compete over the past years.

Last year, the West Java boys team and the Central Java girls
team won the titles. (ivy)
