Judo aims for six SEAG golds
SEMARANG (JP): The Indonesian Judo Association (PJSI) has set itself the target of taking at least six gold medals in the 2001 Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
PJSI official in charge of athletes development Subardi Suar said Monday evening that the association has groomed 33 athletes -- 19 men and 14 women -- to join the decentralized training program. They will be selected through the National Championships in Jakarta early next year.
Four coaches -- Indriana, Puji Astuti, Hengky Pie and Iswandra -- are responsible for the program.
Subardi also said that PJSI has plans to stage overseas trips to South Korea and Kazakhstan. (har)
