JSA organizes spring leagues

JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Softball Association (JSA) is organizing spring leagues to play both men's and women's slow pitch softball. There is an already well established league in both the men's A and B level competition and also a women's league.

Games, once a week for up to 12 weeks, are scheduled on Monday till Thursday nights. Games are played at either the Jakarta international school facilities at Jl. Terogong Raya south of Pondok Indah or at the Senayan Stadium complex on Jl. Sudirman, Central Jakarta. Games start at either 19:00 or 20:30 hours in the evening.

The upcoming season's games are scheduled to begin in late January.

The league is interested in registering new teams to participate in the slow pitch softball league. Company sponsored teams are a favorite and it is a good opportunity to promote your company in the international community and promote team spirit within your organization.

Established teams are also always looking for individual players if you are just interested in joining a team. There is a team fee that covers umpiring, field fees and softballs.

If you are interested or have questions, please contact either Doug Slusher, the league commissioner, at dgslusher@hotmail.com, movers4u@rad.net.id or Mike Haas at mikehaas@vico.co.id for the men's league.

Mona Johnston at mona_johnston@link.net.id can be contacted about the women's league. (yan)
