Hopes for Korpri

From Suara Karya

The commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of the Indonesian Civil Servants Corps (Korpri) in Lembang, Bandung, on December 18 saw the granting of awards for merit and achievement in public service, as well as some civil servants being promoted.

As a member of the public at large, I can only get information about the performance of government employees from the mass media. Let us hope that the awards ceremony was not a charade and that civil servants will be provide better service to the ordinary people in the future.

For the general public, the important thing is to be provided proper and orderly services at reasonable cost in obtaining documents such as driver's licenses, motor vehicle license numbers, building permits and identity cards.

The administration and issuance of these documents, which has to date been chaotic and tainted by corruption, should from now on be improved.
